lisa solomon

thank you for supporting and encouraging so many of us lisa, inspiration seems to go full circle sometimes.

+++++

drawing for me is a constant transmission in my life. a communication of putting me in such a clear place of meaning. focus. being in touch. if i go without it for a few days, i forget how much i miss (need) the signal.

what’s your frequency? have you got it in you?

oh this is so good in so many ways. love the full circle. i wish i could hone in on
    my signal…soon i think.

This is great Jenny -it has such a quick feeling -not overworked.
For me I have to keep being creative in everything I do -it’s never one thing. I like to work on multiple things (in multiple mediums) at the same time and keep going back and forth between all of them. If I am only doing one thing I get anxious -it seems too flat.

a visit to your blog is always so inspiring. thanks. :) (i don’t know when it changed, but over the past few days i keep meaning to mention that i like your new layout/banner!)

What a nice portrait of a very encouraging and sweet person!
I think my frequency changes, but it has to be something that brings me completely to the present moment, looking at Fiona, meditating, creating, seeing somebody’s creation…

thank you everyone! this is just a quick sketch i did this morning. i really hear what you said martha, i am the same way, working in multiple things keeps me interested and holds my attention best.

i did redesign my blog look, but i still need to iron out the kinks, it loads a bit slow…

(and nice ot meet you rebecca)

  8. Laura says:

Jenny, this is a lovely sketch. You impress me so much with all the different things that you do. How on earth do you decide which of your talents to pursue on any given day??
And you know what drawing is for me—-like breathing. Thank you again for mentioning my blog yesterday.
    Xoxo,
    Laura

your entry hit home for me today…

my problem is overcoming my innate laziness. i NEED to draw, but feel so out of practice and perfectionistic that it paralyzes me. getting over that wall of opposition is a major priority. that and the self comparison.

i was released from being RS president and feel like i need to get back into my life calling–artist mother :)

    xoxo

ha. i kept thinking “that looks like a lisa tee” in your drawing, before i read the entry. i can see how her work would inspire queenthings as well. i have a light blue lisa tee with a little nest on it in my closet – saved for special occasions.

  16. Jenny says:

thank you for noticing the site clean-up! feels better, ahh i can breathe here now.
and…for the thoughts on the sketch of lisa…

guess i didn’t say exactly why i was grateful, so lisa, if you check back here, it’s because you really are amazing with supporting online artists, and i admire you for that encouragement, i kind of see you as our cheerleader

    *smile*

gotta get one of those t-shirts too. dang. they’re all so cute.

  17. jan says:
