The Creative Act

Sometimes you encounter a book that feels like an experience, like rick rubin’s new book. So much of what he writes about really resonates with what feels true about my art making and why I do what I do. I don’t know if I have ever read a book so slowly? I’ve been carrying it around to different places in the house and only reading few passages at a time, letting it all sink in and savor the ideas.
